Democrats try to move on health bill
Wed Sep 23, 2009
It seems to me that if the health care industry is so trustworthy and worried about reform, they would already be offering new plans with no pre-existing conditions and lower co-pays/better wellness care in an effort to show Congress and the nation that they are willing to change.
Which health care story do you want msnbc.com to tell?

Why is the President against including a provision to allow the purchase of insurance across state lines like auto insurance ? What am I missing on this issue?
What do you think of Rep. Joe Wilson's decision to shout out 'You lie!' during the president's speech?

I'm sure this will be a career ender for Mr. Wilson. And it should be.

Without Kennedy, no Senate dealmaker
Wed Aug 26, 2009
Chappaquiddick. The true test of integrity and honesty in a man is his actions when no one is watching. He left his girlfriend to drown (while cheating on his wife). That is what I will remember about Mr. Kennedy.

It just proves that the rich and powerful can and will continue to get away with criminal conduct. The true test of a man's honesty and integrity is his actions when no one is watching. Chappaquiddick showed what the man was all about. That's what I will remember about Mr. Kennedy.
Obama retools pitch for health care legislation
Wed Jul 29, 2009
Why will it take 5 years to implement the health care reform, assuming its passes at all. It only took 5 days to pass TARP and bailouts. Why not just lower the medicare age from 65 to 50 and let us pay affordable premiums directly to medicare until we turn 65. Why reinvent the wheel ?
Officials: Health care plan a work in progress
Sun Jul 19, 2009
I predict that in addition to all the other ways already discussed to pay for this, you will see a 1-2% Fed. tax on all purchases similar to what Canada has in order to get the CBO to buy off on a plan.
California will gladly pay you Tuesday ...
Mon Jul 6, 2009
The article states that residents " shot themselves in the foot over a property tax revolt". Prop 13 or not, I was paying $350.00 a year for taxes on my house before I sold it. The new buyer is now paying $4500.00 a year for the same house. The State needs to cut their spending.
Feds threaten to close California parks
Wed Jul 1, 2009
The Feds should take over the whole state. Its clear the Ca. elected officials can't run it. All they want to do it fight for power. They could call it the District of California and have a western white house in Sacramento.
